In November, The Usos broke The New Day’s record to become the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history. On Monday night, Matt Riddle and Elias will try to end that reign when they challenge for the undisputed WWE tag team championship in one of the featured matches on Raw.
Riddle and Elias are a newly formed team, having bonded over both music and their mutual issues with Alpha Academy. Advancing from battles with Chad Gable and Otis to challenging Jey and Jimmy Uso during their incredible run is a big step, however, and doing so knowing Alpha Academy will almost definitely be lurking makes Riddle and Elias’ challenge even more complicated.
In the only other announced segment for Raw, John Bradshaw Layfield will host a “high-stakes invitational poker tournament.” In recent weeks, Layfield and Baron Corbin have been cleaned out at the poker table by Akira Tozawa, though Corbin took out Tozawa in the ring.
