Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer (2 posts) in the Department of Computer Science (Ref.: 517475), to commence on August 1, 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
The Department of Computer Science is a forward-looking department committed to playing a leading role in developing talent in computer science, data science and financial technology in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and at least 6 years’ full-time teaching experience in tertiary institutions. They should demonstrate excellence in teaching quality and innovation in core computer science subjects, and should be experienced and proficient in managing and developing teaching programmes (including curriculum and pedagogy development, admission and promotion, advancing teaching laboratory with latest technologies, accreditation and review). Preference will be given to candidates with skills, experience and passion in supporting student activities (e.g., experiential learning, internship and career planning, academic advising, R&D projects).
The appointee will teach courses at postgraduate and undergraduate levels, and provide leadership in managing and developing teaching programmes and supporting student activities.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of the basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable
