Australia beat Ireland by 42 runs at the Gabba on Monday, October 31, which brought about looks of relief in the Australian camp. During the post-match presentation, Finch said, “Really a hamstring twinge I think, I will get a scan tomorrow, I have a history of them. It doesn’t look bad at the moment but let’s see how it goes after the scan,”

Former India captain Virat Kohli, a key member of India’s T20 World Cup team in Australia, will not file an official complaint with the team hotel in Perth after an unidentified person filmed and posted a video of his room on Instagram, The Indian Express has learnt.
Kohli, in a post on Instagram, said the video “made me feel very paranoid about my privacy”. Later, the hotel — Crown Perth — stated that the individuals involved in shooting the video were “stood down” and that the original video was removed from the social media platform.
A source from the Indian team said Kohli would not pursue the matter further, and considered the matter closed.”

France midfielder Paul Pogba will miss the World Cup after failing to recover from knee surgery in time for this month’s tournament in Qatar, his agent said on Monday, October 31.
Pogba underwent an operation in September but his agent said that, following a medical review, the midfielder would not yet return to the Juventus squad or join up with France for the World Cup.
His agent, Rafaela Pimenta said, “Following extensive medical reviews in Torino and Pittsburgh, it is extremely painful to inform Paul Pogba will still need recovery time from his surgInery. “Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has injured his hamstring again after making a comeback from two months on the sidelines, the Serie A club said on Monday, October 31, three weeks before the World Cup kicks off in Qatar.
Lukaku, on loan at Inter from Chelsea, returned to action in the Champions League group game last week against Viktoria Plzen in which he scored and played in the weekend Serie A clash with Sampdoria, getting on the pitch for 29 minutes across both matches. Karpov’s assistant Albert Stepanyan revealed to Tass that Karpov is in stable condition and suffered no injuries. He also refuted that Karpov was a victim of assault.”
