Sources say that unidentified people killed a computer science student and set his body on fire in the west of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

The victim, Soroush Mohammadi, a computer science student, went missing four days prior to the discovery of his burned remains, according to the sources.

Sources said that his lifeless, burnt body was discovered on Thursday, the 17th of November, behind the Omid-e-Sabz residential settlement in western Kabul.

The information that is currently known indicates that Soroush Mohammadi was brutally murdered and the perpetrators tried to dispose of the body by setting the body afire.

According to the source, Soroush Mohammadi was a senior computer science student at a private university in Kabul and was a resident of the Nawur district of Ghazni province in central Afghanistan.

The Taliban authorities have yet to respond to the enigmatic and brutal killing of the student.

The rising crime rate in the capital and other parts of the country disproves the Taliban’s claims that they have established and maintained security in Afghanistan.

This comes as countries such as the UK have advised their citizens not to travel to Afghanistan, given the “extremely volatile” security situation of the country following the Taliban’s takeover of the country.
