The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) will present a holiday show featuring musical theater hits in “On Broadway,” on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 8 p.m., at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
Featuring over 175 members, 34 solos and 37 dancers, this show is one of the largest in recent CGMC history. “On Broadway” is all show tunes with three Hanukkah numbers, a few special parodies and even a world premiere of a song from a not yet produced show.
Audiences can also look forward to classics including “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” from “Here’s Love,” “Turkey Lurkey Time,” from “Promises, Promises,” some selections from “Elf the Musical,” “Christmas Bells,” from “Rent,” “I Don’t Remember Christmas,” from “Starting Here, Staring Now,” “Hard Candy Christmas,” from “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,” and many more.
Rehearsals have been underway since late August with over 40 new members joining the CGMC.
Tickets range from $25 to $50 with additional per-ticket fees. All sales are final.
