Bowls Australia (BA) has been nominated for the accolade of Best Coverage of Sport by a Club or Organisation as part of the 2022 Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Media Awards.
With a record number of entries across all categories for the nominating delegates to cast their eyes over, BA’s continuous work to provide the best coverage of bowls possible has been recognised across various platforms, such as the website, social media, Rinkside Live streaming, The Right Line podcast, Without Bias and The Bowls Show.
BA has been nominated alongside the AFL’s GWS Giants, NRL’s Parramatta Eels and NSO Snow Australia, with the quartet vying for the inaugural award in this category.
CEO Matthew Kennedy is thrilled with the recognition by the Australian Sports Commission, and aims to continue to bring the sport of bowls further into the mainstream of the Australian sports media landscape.
“This is a wonderful honour to be nominated alongside three significant organisations who are all committed to bring their consumers the best coverage of their sports possible,” Kennedy said.
“Bowls is a sport that never rests with tournaments constantly held around the country, and the way the media team brings it to people’s homes is magnificent.

The winner of the award will be announced on February 16, 2023.
