PRIOR LAKE — Prior Lake defeated New Ulm 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in a girls hockey game.
Evelyn Sellner scored New Ulm’s goal and was assisted by Brooke Arneson. The goal came 2:09 into the second period.
New Ulm goalie Ava Brennan made 27 saves.
New Ulm is at Worthington next for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop on Nov. 29.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
Finlandia 94, MLC 91
NEW ULM — Finlandia held off Martin Luther College 94-91 on Saturday afternoon in a nonconference men’s basketball game.
Micah Kieselhorst led the Knights in defea with 24 points, nine rebounds and four blocks, while Seth Veers had 22 points and seven rebounds. Ezra Blumer had a double-double for the Knights also, scoring 18 points and pulling in 13 rebounds, while Nathan Miller scored 14 points.
MLC (0-5) is at Lakeland on Tuesday night.
